Issue 267 of ComputerActive! magazine (15-28th May 2008) contains a letter in the ConsumerActive! section from Bob Mclean. Bob writes in to express his concern that SVP did not have stocks of promotional items (specifically an LCD photo frame) advertised for the Wild Wednesday promotion. In brief summary, the advice from ConsumerActive suggests that the promotion could have been perfectly legitimate - but it’s virtually impossible to know if it were not - and that new regulations shortly to come into force would be relevant to this promotion had there not been adequate stocks and information that there was limited availability.
Here’s what we’d like to say in response to that article.

We’ve just had stock of some DAB radios by PURE Digital. These are Grade A refurbished, looking new but in plain packaging. PURE have sold truckloads of the models we have because, well, they’re good. Prices start at £45.99 inc VAT.
There’s a thread on Facebook - we’re looking for recycling organisations to recommend to our customer base.
Well, it’s time for the fourth one. The ridiculously popular Akita III LCD frames are back. They’re slightly more expensive at £33.99 but that’s still great value for a 7″ photo & video frame. Plenty more to see as well, with MP3 players from £1.99. Sale starts here at noon on Weds 7.5.2008 and lasts 24 hours.
