Wild Wednesday Wipe-OutWell, it’s time for the fourth one. The ridiculously popular Akita III LCD frames are back. They’re slightly more expensive at £33.99 but that’s still great value for a 7″ photo & video frame. Plenty more to see as well, with MP3 players from £1.99. Sale starts here at noon on Weds 7.5.2008 and lasts 24 hours.

The Whack It game gets filmedThere are some things we sell at SVP that are easy to describe on the web. If you’re buying a blank DVD, we can probably tell you everything you need to know in words and pictures. Some products rely on customer reviews to give you an idea of what it’s like to own. And some things you just have to see in action. Read the rest of this entry »

Mini Sharpie PensWe like Sharpie pens. Pens might not be the most exciting things in the world but it’s surprisingly pleasurable to have a Sharpie pen in your desk, workshop or toolbox. Permanent marker pens that just work well.

Being who we are, we thought we’d stock Sharpie pens at a good price so you can enjoy them too!

PS My favourites are the mini ones.

Wild Wednesday Wipe-OutWe’ve decided, for now, to make a permanent fixture of the Wild Wednesday Wipe-Out 24-hour sales. People seem to like them!

We’re making it more obvious on the web site about the mechanics of the sales, although we still get queries on a Tuesday(!) asking why the sale isn’t yet underway. To be fair, some of the enquirers have just been confused about what day of the week it was that day and have been quite content once their minor oversight has been pointed out.

Such was the level of interest in last Wednesday’s sale we had problems with the web server keeping track of stock. There were so many people checking out so fast that one item in particular oversold in around 5 minutes by double the stock we had waiting (and we had quite a few). All customers who foiled the stock control were offered free upgrades to an alternative frame. Contrary to one of the original ideas, this overselling risk means we can no longer clear the most limited stock lines this way!

Hopefully future sales will run without any disappointment (we know that there are certainly a lot of happy shoppers each time) and we’d love to hear more feedback.  Shopping should be fun :-)

As Epson, Canon, Hewlett Packard, Dell, Lexmark, Brother, Samsung and the like release new printers it can be difficult to keep ink cartridge compatibility lists up to date. We’ve recently been updating the descriptions of our current range of ink cartridges to improve the search facility for SVP customers.

Remember, if you are unsure which cartridge to buy for your printer, try inputting the printer model number into the search bar at the top of each SVP page. Read the rest of this entry »
