Q: Do I Need to Create an Account?
You can browse our site freely without creating an account. You will be prompted to register as you make your first purchase - all this means in practice is that we'll ask you to provide a password so that you can identify yourself on future visits.
Q: I'm Sure I Have an Account, but I Can't Log In
If you haven't shopped on our site since it was revised in January 2006, then you almost certainly don't have a working login for it. Please register from scratch.
If you're sure you've registered but you can't login, it's quite likely there's a spelling mistake in your email address or password. You can recover your password from the login page if you've forgotten it or email us with your details and we'll check over your account.
Q: How Do I Browse Products?
Browse by category (e.g. blank DVDs) by choosing a category from the list on the left.
Browse by brand (e.g. Datasafe) by clicking Brands at the top of the page or click here.
Q: How Do I Search?
Use the search box towards the top of the page. You can enter keywords (e.g. "aa batteries") or product codes (e.g. "6035").
Printer ink searches are best done by using just the most key part of the printer name. For example, for an Epson Stylus Photo R220, just enter "R220".
Look out for alternative searches and links suggested by the site in a box to the right.
Q: Why Did My Cart Get Emptied?
The cart is designed to timeout after two hours, as a privacy protection measure. After that time, it will be emptied automatically.

Click Your Account then Order History and locate the relevant order in the list.
Look in the "Order Status" column to see how far the order has progressed through our system. Click Details for more details and notes.
Q: How Do I Get an Invoice?
Login to your account by clicking Log In at the top of the page.
Click Your Account then Order History and locate the relevant order in the list. Click Details.
Use the printing link at the bottom of the page to get a commercial invoice.
Q: How Do I Get My Purchase Order Number on the Invoice & Picking List?
When you have completed payment, you will be offered the option to a purchase order number and notes to your order. These will appear on the picking list (which ships with the goods), on any invoices you print, on the confirmation emails we send you and on screen when you check your order status.
Q: How Do I Track My Order with the Courier?
Login to your account by clicking Log In at the top of the page.
Click Your Account then Order History and locate the relevant order in the list. Click Details.
On the right-hand side, you'll see a tracking code and you should be able to click it to go directly to the online tracking.
Q: Can I Change My Delivery Address?
As you checkout, the website will let you edit the addresses. You can also save up to three delivery addresses for later recall, see Can I Save Several Delivery Addresses?
Once your order has been placed, there is a short time during which we can update the address for you, before the warehouse address the boxes. Email sales@svp.co.uk with all the details as soon as you can.
If the goods have been packed or are in the possession of a carrier, please email us for help. In some circumstances, we may have to ask you for a fee to cover redirection charges that we will incur.

Q: How Do I Update My Addresses and Passwords?
This method is for updating your account, which doesn't affect any orders already placed. See above, Can I Change My Delivery Address?
Login to your account by clicking Log In at the top of the page.
Click Your Account then (next to the relevant address) Change Details.
Make any changes you wish then click Update then Return on the right-hand side.
Q: Can I Save Several Delivery Addresses?
Yes, you can save up to three delivery addresses. Each one can be stored and edited in advance or during checkout.
Login to your account by clicking Log In at the top of the page.
Click Your Account then (on the right-hand side) Add Delivery Address
Click Update to save the changes.
During checkout you can pick one of the saved addresses and, if you like, edit it there.
Q: How Do I Save My Cart? Can I Repeat an Order?
Yes. Make sure you are logged in. Once logged in, this function works between all computers you choose to use.
Click View Cart / Checkout on the right-hand side.
Click Save Cart to copy your live cart into the saved cart. Anything previously in the saved cart is lost.
In the saved cart area, you can click View Saved Cart to see the contents of your saved cart again.
Click Load Saved ItemsInto Cart which will add the saved cart contents to anything already in your live cart. If you wanted, you can empty your live cart first by clicking Empty Cart.
Q: How Do I Get You to Drop-Ship with Unbranded Picking Lists?
Sometimes you might want us to ship your order without the SVP name and any prices. This is useful for sending gifts or for selling our goods to your own customers (eBay sellers and computer retailers do this).
Note that the picking list must still include an outline return address for us in case the courier label becomes detached from the box.
This service is not suitable for destinations such as the Channel Islands where we are bound to include a commercial invoice for customs.

Click Your Account then Change Details at the bottom of the screen.
Change the Unbranded Picking Lists option to Yes then click Update on the right-hand side.
This option takes immediate effect on any orders we haven’t yet picked.
Your invoice address on your account must still be the registered address for your payment method (e.g. your credit card billing address). If not, your order may fail our fraud checks.
Q: How Do I Get Prices Shown in Euros?
Login to your account by clicking Log In at the top of the page.
Click Your Account then Change Details at the bottom of the screen.
Change the Currency option to Euro then click Update on the right-hand side.
We trade in British Pound (GBP) . Any figures shown on the website in other currencies are for guidance only.
Check with your card issuer for their rates and fees for international transactions.
Q: How Do I Enable or Disable the Newsletter Option?
Login to your account by clicking Log In at the top of the page.
Click Your Account then Change Details at the bottom of the screen.
Change the Newsletter option then click Update on the right-hand side.
Q: How Do I Stop Receiving Notifications of New Product Reviews?
Login to your account by clicking Log In at the top of the page.
Click Your Account then Review Notifications on the right-hand side.
Untick the products about which you no longer wish to receive review notifications then click Update.
