These discs have an extremely fast 8x write speed meaning that you can write 8.5GB in less than 16 minutes.

8.5GB of data equates to 240 minutes of video in standard play mode meaning you can fit even more of your favourite memories and yet still be assured that they are secure and protected.

These discs have a white top surface, branded with the Aone logo at the top of the disc, with a 4-lined area at the bottom designed for display of the disc contents.

ADVDInfo: RICOHJPN D01 067
Packaging: Aone branded spindle tubs of 10 discs.

We always recommend that customers keep the firmware on their DVD writers up to date. This is especially true in the case of double layer media as a large number reported problems we receive are due to out of date firmware. Click here for our guide to firmware upgrading.

Please Note: Some writers don't fully support burning to this media at 8x. Pioneer writers have a known speed issue.

Liability
I've burned videos to something like 100 of these over the past year (Nero - verify ON, Pioneer 112). Now I'm finding that those burned over 6 months ago virtually ALL have bad sectors (reading from any of 3 Pioneer drives) with < 50% file retrieval rates. Generally they were burned at 4X so I conclude that the dye used becomes unstable after a short time. No wonder they're cheap!
I shall definitely NOT be buying any more.

Could only burn on x 2.4
Using a Pioneer 111d the first disc burnt at x8, then I had 2 coasters. I then dropped the speed to x4 and managed 1 more before getting another coaster.
Feeling very frustrated I lowered the speed to the minimum x 2.4 and managed to burn the last 5 discs at this speed but they take 40 mins + !
I would not buy these discs again even though they are very cheap, but if you have lots of time to spare you can save a lot of money by using these.

Good And Cheap
I think these are great for the money they burn at 8x on my pioneer 215 just fine no probs not had one bad burn out of 10 reads very well on consoles but i still love the verbs they burn at 10x flawlessly never had a bad burn so if your on a budget and dont mind waiting these discs are perfect for you but if you want pure speed and the best readability get the verbs

9 - 10 Discs Burnt Flawlessly
After 9 burns, I had 1 fail @ about 75%. When I visually inspected the disc, it had 2 flaws. For 40.5p per disc, it's not bad if burnt @ 4 speed for compatibility issues with 360's. Just a pity bout the wasted time ;o)

Very Good - But possible variations in the nature of the Dye.
I think by now I have written something approaching 500 of this particular brand of disk. By ensuring that I only use a compatible DVD writer I get something like 95%+ success rate writing at 4X speed.

Most of my writing at the moment is performed using a TSST Corp (Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology) DVD writer that came installed within a recently purchased laptop. Rock solid writing at 4X speed.

Strange thing is in the last batch of blanks that I ordered from SVP I started to get problems half way down a spindle - not bad writes but a complete inability of the DVD writer to recognize the media.

So I switched writing to the DVD writer in a second laptop (Optiarc - Sony NEC). I proceeded to write without any problems from that point onwards. Then after writing several disks I had to switch back to my original laptop to get the writing to work OK.

It almost seems like there is some sort of variation in the nature of the dye used on the media. So I guess the approach is to ensure that you always have a choice of DVD writers at your disposal.

bought twenty of these discs all burnt but noticed 360 would say dirty disc but when i put them back in a dvd rom they will not read past 14% or past 50% you can not rely on these discs at all i have used verbatim no problems apart from price thought i would try these false economy burnt on a liteon hitachi pioneer and optiwrite burners latest firmware all with same problems my advice use verbatim what a fool i am trying to save money but have had twenty coasters

Fantastic value for money
Ordered these a few times due to low cost and these work great every time. Seem to work great for xbox 360 backups using a pioneer 112d. A few discs do fail but that can be expected.

Great product, great service from svp

Great product at 3 times the price!
This product would be well worth the money at 3 times the price but at around 40p per disc this is the best double layer dvd on the market for me. Had around 100+ of these discs plus burning at the full 8X speed and can only think of a handfull of DVDs that did not work once put into my Xbox. And cannot think of a single film that has failed. If you are having problems it will more than likely be your DVD writer. Update to the newest firmware. I use an NEC dvd writer...however I cannot remember the model number but will post it when I get home.
