These 16x discs are branded as Generation 4 of Bulkpaq discs and have a dark blue top surface, branded with the Bulkpaq logo, with a 4-lined area at the bottom of the disc.

Problem
Sadly not for me . The first time in all the years buying from SVP, have I ended up with a DVD disk that everyone burnt faile using Nero and ConvertXto DVD.all software up to date. they showed burnt but when played back, nothin,just a cannot play disk, error messages,

The best Bulkpaq disks
These are the best DVD-R's I have ever had, I have always used Bulkpaq disks because of there reputation of being on of the best DVD manufacturers for quality, reliability and price.

Not for me
I just got two packs of these today, Nero recognises them as 4x and has aborted the burn of six out of six, also tried burning with DVD clone and it refuses to accept them. I have the yellow 8x from Bulkpaq and these work perfectly. I have e-mailed SVP and I am sure they will replace them as CS is second to none.

Bulkpaq Blue 'Generation 4' 16x DVD-R
Ordered a box of 600 of these. Thought I might be taking a risk that they were so cheap and I have not used the CMC MAG. AM3 discs for a while.
At under 10p a disc, and with the extra £5 off I got with google checkout it is a bargain.
I knew that SVP would sort out any problems if the discs werent any good.
To my surprise, the discs were not the advertised MID, but infact MCC03RG20, same as some of the Verbatim -r discs.
I have burned these discs at 18x using a Pioneer 212 with 1.24 firmware, and when scanned in DVDInfoPro, I get a quality rating of over 98%.
Really pleased with my cheapo buy. I hope all subsequent discs in the box are as good.
It might be worth SVP checking the MID when they are back in stock. Bulkpaq always seem to swap the MIDs on discs, yet market them as the same discs. In MCC03RG20 form, these are definitely worth a 10/10
