HDMI 1.3 offers higher speed data transmission (340MHz / 10.2Gb/sec) to support the demands of future high definition display devices, such as higher resolutions, Deep Color and high frame rates.
A Little Bit About HDMI: High definition multimedia interface, or HDMI, is an all-digital audio/video interface capable of transmitting uncompressed streams. HDMI is compatible with high-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) Digital Rights Management technology.
HDMI provides an interface between any compatible digital audio/video source, such as a set-top box, DVD player, console gaming system, or an AV receiver and a compatible digital audio and/or video monitor, such as a digital TV.

These are what you need
I've bought two of these cables to go with my new dvd player & the difference in the picture clarity & colour was immediately noticeble. I would recommend anyone with HD, or HD ready to buy these & get the full value out of your equipment.

Good quality cable - great price.
Refused to pay £40 for a cable when I bought a new TV. Came back and ordered 2 of these. Heavy duty cable with braided outer supplied in shiny retail box. Looks better than the cable I was offered in the shop for £40. Picture quality looks fine to me so it certainly does the job.
