Datawrite 3-Way Switched Scart Splitter Box
Allows you to connect up to three separate devices to a single Scart socket. Ideal for attaching DVD players, Freeview boxes or consoles to your TV without having to be constantly unplugging cables.

Do you have multiple Scart connectable devices and a TV with only one or two Scart input sockets? Simply plug one or more Scart sockets into the splitter box (using separate leads, not supplied) and connect the box to the TVs Scart input.

This is a switched splitter box meaning that you can switch between each input so you get no signal overlap between devices.

Datawrite branded packaging. The devices themselves have no branding on them.
Cable length: 40cm (approx)

Bargain!
I was sceptical that a SCART switcher for under £3 would be anything but rubbish but I bought myself one of these as a throw-in to a larger order knowing if it turned out to be faulty I could bring it back under SVP's 30-day guarantee.

One week on and I've got to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I've got it hooked up to the old TV in my bedroom and can now happily switch between Freeview box and DVD player without having to reach around the back of the TV set to unplug SCART cables. Nor have I suffered from any of the signal interference or ghosting from other inputs mentioned by Colin in his earlier review.

My only complaint is that the cable is a little on the short side and isn't long enough to reach down to the floor but I can live with that.

Thanks again SVP!

Not bad for the price
They're cheap enough, but can suffer from signal interference from the other inputs (some equipment may put out stronger signals than others though, causing a little ghosting).

Putting the other equipment you use in "standby" should resolve the issue though, although it sort of defeats the idea of having switches in the first place...

The switches aren't linked to automatically isolate the signal you want, so you need to de-select the existing signal then select the signal you want to use ("in" is selected, "out" is deselected).

They can still simplify multiple scart configurations (i.e. DVD / VHS / Freeview) so despite the cross-talk, i'd still recommend them !
