Not all I had hoped, but not bad
I got the 2Gb version through a Wild Wednesday for about £20.
I've not used it for video, as I was mainly interested in using it for music in my car (along with the FM Modulator that SVP sells).

The data transfer rate is reasonable.
The sound quality is very good.

My main concerns with it is that it lacks a 'Shuffle' function, so although you can sort your MP3s into folders; it will play all the songs in that folder before moving onto the next. Although this was not listed as a feature, I had half expected it to have such 'as standard', like most MP3 players these days do.

The battery life seems a bit short. It is also worth noting that if you pause the music it goes into an auto-shut off if left paused for anything more than 30s or so. However, if it does this, it still seems to drain the power. I had left it overnight after it shut itself off, thinking that it switched off entirely. By the next morning the battery was entirely dead.

All in all, I am satisfied with it in paying £20. Had I paid full price, I would have been a bit more upset about not getting at least a shuffle function. While the built in games and audio record functions are an interesting extra, I don't see myself ever using them and would have much preferred a shuffle feature at the exclusion of both of those.

Not bad, could be better.
I bought the 2GB version of this and it's a lot smaller than I
expected. Whilst the sound is good this unit does have some
flaws.

The supplied headphones are designed so that the unit hangs
around your neck & because the headphone jack is 2.5mm not
the standard 3.5mm, it's not so easy to replace them. My other
grip with the headphones is that the jack is on the side of the
unit, should really be on the top if it is designed to hang around
your neck as it sticks out to the side getting in the way.

Recharging the unit is simple via the supplied USB or USB-
>Mains adaptor. The mini-USB on the unit does cause some
problems when using the buttons above it as the plactic case is
so thin in that area it makes loud clicking noises when you press
those buttons.

The menu system is a little awkward but you get used to it
pretty quick. However whilst the unit is in use the screen stays
on fully, therefore reducing battery life.

As far as small, cheap, mp3 players go it's not bad, but there is
room for improvement. Would I recommend it ? No, I have
higher standards. Is my wife happy with it, Yes :)
