Don't Forget - "80 pin" means it's an 80 conductor cable w/ 40 pins!
This cable was just the job as I was having I/O device errors on any dvd drive except my Benq with a std 40 conductor/40 pin cable up to the day I received this from SVP. Now my system runs perfectly (on ultra DMA) and it's a shame I didn't realise sooner that an 80 pin conductor cable is (despite its diminutive price) an important piece of wire!
Please note that although SVP's description lists this as an "80 pin cable", which is also how such is known by many - there is literally no such thing. You'll instead receive a 40 pin cable which has 80 conductors (unlike the standard cable which has 40 conductors/40 pins). Furthermore, it's made a great difference to my system's writing stability with Ultra DMA enabled, for best speed on dvd drives, and you should have one too, if you're still only using the standard cable; which is usually the weak link in the IDE/ATA interface.
