We always recommend that customers keep the firmware on their DVD writers up to date. This is especially true in the case of high-speed media as most reported problems are due to out of date firmware. Click here for our guide to firmware upgrading.

Datawrite Full-Face Printable 16x DVD-R / Spindle tub of 50
Wish I'd read earlier reviews. I have 2 pioneer 112 with 1.21 firmware. I recently bought 4 packs of these; just thrown away over half of the first pack. 2 out of 3 failed (not had this happen for years) and of the ones that did burn, half wouldn't play in stand-alone dvd player. I only ever burn at 12x but even tried 8x here with no improvement. Only got these as my regular choice were out of stock.

Datawrite Full-Face Printable 16x DVD-R / Spindle tub of 50
I don't seem to of had as much joy with these as others. 2 out of 3 are failing with my Pioneer 112D drives in an Acard duplicator. I have the latest firmware.
They also fail in my PC with 2 x Pioneer DVR-112's in.
I normally use the Data write pastel discs but opted for these for a change. I never had a single coaster with the pastels.

Burn Baby Burn!
Just burnt off 600 of these over the last few days in a 1>9 Acard Duplicator - at 16 x speed - No coasters caused by media! :O)
A really smooth printer surface too - Highly recommended for the serious burner!

Upgraded from 8x to 16x = 100% ...
I have been using 8x Datawrite Full-Face Printable DVD-R's for a while now so when I orderd some more media this time I thought I would try these 16x and am I pleased to say they will still be my future choice of blank DVD-R in the future.
I have just run off 23 of the 50 off without a single problem first one I tried at 8x speed and the others all at 12x (I never like to burn at max speed) and all work perfect and printed the same.
Quality blank at a really good price!
