Datawrite inform us that this disc is one of the toughest they've ever made. This claim is backed up by several pieces of technology.
1) The dye is a of a high quality which means that all hardware will be able to make good quality, long lasting recordings of video/data/music. 2) Datawrite have paid particular attention to the quality of the polycarbonate layer (the middle section of the disc). This will improve the discs long term performance. 3) The top of the disc is protected by the titanium coloured top surface.
This Titanium branded range of discs have proved to be extremely popular with SVP customers. These discs have a titanium (dark grey) coloured top surface featuring the Datawrite logo and a pre-lined area for content labelling.

had a lot of coasters
used these disks for a while no problem last order of 50 i had about 20-25 that would burn to between 92-98% of disk then spit out saying bad medium straght in bin

Had problems with playback on my DVD player...
My standalone player chugs away for a minute and either starts playing XVID's in slow-motion with skips or not at all. That said, they burn + verify fine on PC.

Not very good,
I bought these from another place a month or so ago to backup games and data. I have had no problems with this. However, when I attempted to burn a dvd on one today, the playback skipped and ultimately ended up refusing to play past a certain point on the DVD. I'm now going to try Taiyo Yuden disks instead.

Good quality at a great price
Datawirte discs have always been good value for money; especially when bought from svp. Over the years I have found different types of datawrite discs have given me different results depending on their use. Datawrite Reds were cheap, but not all that reliable, sometimes with a lot of CRC errors when checked using CDcheck. Datawrite Yellow work well for data but not for video, and Datawrite Grey were very reliable for data but not fully compatible with all DVD players including Sony.
The Titanium range in contrast are some of the best I have used to date from any brand and are a very versatile all purpose disc, working well for both data backup and video playback in both PC DVD drives and standalone DVD players. They also work well in Standalone DVD Recorders including the LiteOn recorders sold by SVP. I have yet to find something they are not good at.
I have used both the 16x and 8x Titanium DVD-R media and they have all worked flawlessly. I also recommend the new Titanium CD-Rs.
One note for people using an older DVD writer. You may need to update your drive's firmware before you can write at the disk's maximum speed. I had this issue with the 8x Titanium discs and an NEC ND2510A drive. It only let me write at 4x speed until I updated. It then worked perfectly at the full speed of the media.

16X media Now 16x
Firstly a big thanks to the staff at svp, i must have received a faulty batch of these discs which was why they were burning at a really low speed. A few E-Mails later and svp replaced them free of charge, excellent support and service from svp, 10/10.
Now that they are burning at 16x they are pretty good, disc quality is as good as the ridisc extreme range, with good quality scores in Nero. Playback is also crisp and sharp, in either a dvd player or ROM. Would buy again, and would certainly buy from SVP again.

16X Media only 6X
Just got these after reading reviews of this media, which stated that they were very good. However beware if you have NEC writers as this media seems to only burn at 6X speed which is really poor. I have tried them in both my 3500A and 4571A NEC drives and they burn only at 6X. However i have had no failures but they are a lot of money for 6X speed media. They dye code was CMC MAG AM3 so maybe the TTH02 dye may be better, but be cautious.

This is normally just a firmware issue but another issue like the transfer data rate. Please E-mail support@svp.co.uk for more help on updating your writers. The CMC MAG AM3 has been tested on the NEC ND-3500/4570 at 16x without any issues with the latest firmwares.
