Elite Full-Face Printable Double-Layer 8x DVD+R (Pack of 50)
Click thumbnails below...
These Elite double-layer discs feature an extremely fast 8x write speed
meaning that you can write 8.5GB in less than 16 minutes.
8.5GB of data equates to 240 minutes of video in standard play mode meaning
you can fit even more of your favourite memories and yet still be assured that
they are secure and protected.
The inkjet printable surface of these discs enables you to add your own
designs with affordable machines such as the Epson R220 and R265 inkjet
printers. The full-face printable surface allows you to print right up to the
centre hub of the disc, producing extremely professional results.
ADVDInfo: RICOHJPND01 Packaging: Elite branded spindle tubs of 50
discs.
We always recommend that customers keep the firmware on their DVD writers up
to date. This is especially true in the case of double layer media as a large
number reported problems we receive are due to out of date firmware. Click here for our guide to
firmware upgrading.
Please Note: Some writers don't fully support burning to
this media at 8x. Pioneer writers have a known speed issue.

Great Price, Great product
I have used about 30-odd from my spindle & have used them for X360 back-ups & HD video content.
not had 1 problem.
Using Pioneer 112D with 1.24FW, have only tried burning at 4x (force of habit with 360 games) so cant comment on other speeds.
Pleasantly surprised with these as thought at the price & other reviews that I would suffer a few coasters.
(well I had 1 coaster, but my own fault, as I started an HD video re-encode so CPU & RAM maxed out whilst I was burning the disc - doh!)
Will buy again

no problems here.
i have burned around 200 of these disks in the last few weeks and not had any problems burning at 8x on pioneer dvr-216 to those having problems who have pioneer drives, i recommend pioneers Optimal Writing Speed Utility, this will prevent most coasters by adapting the write speed on the fly per disk. currently burning a 8gb iso takes me 17mins per disk and no coasters.
i do not think its fair to slate svp for keeping these disks i for one am glad as its saving me money.
and secondly as previous reply you do get what you pay for you cant switch to cheap disks from say Verbatim and then complain when they not as good as disks 2x their price.
lastly i suggest people who are having problems with these disks add the following info to help others..
what writer your using, what your burning and what software your using
using
pioneer dvr-216 latest fw & OWSU as above,
burning
xbox360 backups, video, data anything and everything
software
imgburn 2.4.2.0 (why use anything else?)
10/10 from me as they do exactly what i want and at this price i cant go wrong ;)

:O)
Turn off O.P.C ;O)
I had around 7 Costers out of 40 so far. I think they are good value for Monies. (U.G.W.Y.P.F)
Out of the 5 writers i have, the PIO 212 burns them Very Well. I did burn them all at 4x just to be safe. Works ok 2 on my X360 as backups.

Very poor quality discs
Bought a spool of 50 as they were on sale... First 2 discs seemed to burn ok, next 10 discs didn't even start burning before producing the error "Power Calibration Error" every time... I have tried 3 different burners, 3 different copying software programmes and updated the firmware. Discs still refuse to work so only good for the bin! Out of curiosity i bought a small spool of 10 Bulkpak (2.4x)... all have burnt faultlessly on my Pioneer 112D, so the problem is obviously with these discs :-/
Do yourself a favour... stay clear of these and spend the extra few quid on better quality ones... it will only cost you more £££'s in the longrun

No problems at all.
Received a 50 spindle tub of these disks a few days ago. Ordered them because they were on special offer. So far I have burnt around 9 of them with no problems at all and not a single coaster - mainly movie and xbox back-ups. Using Medion Akoya lap-top with TSST corp SN-S083A writer and burning at 4x. I don't know why other reviewers are having problems with these Elite disks because I think they are great and I will certainly be buying more of them. So far they have all burnt without problem and they are excellent value.

Useless
Not sure why SVP are even keeping these to be honest, everysingle one has failed so far (15 out of 15 disks), it explains why they're cheap, shame as it reflects badly on SVP.
I can only assume they didn't test these on any drives judging by the comments here :(
Attempted burns on an NEC AD-7179s (1.02 fw)

Elite DVD+R DL
so far had 10 fail on 5 different drives all latest models..
Will not be using again.
Shame SVP don't have a list of know working drives listed
against their DVDs.
*** SVP Note ***
Please contact sales@svp.co.uk and we will look at refunding or replacing the discs under our 30 day ni quibble guarantee. We will look into creating compatible drives lists. But with so many drives / firmware versions about, this can be difficult.

Rubbish
First four I attempted to burn all failed at 4 speed on two
different machines. Thought I would give them a try as have
previously been using verbatim discs and the price was so keen.
I don't expects miracles at this price, but do expect a completed
burn lol. I tired using a pioneer drive (firmware upto date) on my
PC, and a LG external drive on my MAC, both of which give me
trouble free burns usually. Cant really recommend discs in any
way unfortunately :(
