Not all Epson printers are the same, so not all Epson printers will accept all varieties of compatible ink cartridges. This is not isolated to our brands of inks, but to compatible inks in general.

These particular Jettec Epson cartridges are compatible with all Epson printers listed above, including the newer models that have been modified by Epson (manufactured after 01 March 2007)

When using compatible cartridges in a printer for the first time, it is necessary to change the whole set (i.e. all 4 cartridges). Once the whole set has been changed and used, you can then replace cartridges individually without having to change the whole set (applies to models manufactured after March 2007 only).

E111 jet tec multipack
using these on an epson DX5000 [made after march 07], and have found them to be better than the originals. to avoid the common problems: replace a whole set when using for the first time and don't shake or tip them after removal of the plastic tags, or they will leak badly.it also may help to turn off the the printer for 10 secs. before installing. well worth the effort to avoid paying through the nose for epson carts.

E111 Jettec compatible cartridge
I suffered the same problem as the previous reviewers when I first fitted these cartridges to a DX8400, but think I have sorted it! What you need to do is clean the contacts on each cartridge as I think that there must be a thin film on them. Use something mild like meths or even spit! on a clean cloth and give the contacts a good rub all over. Once I did this, the printer accepted the cartridges without a problem. I would say that the ink quality is better than the original!! Note: you must replace ALL the cartridges the first time you change from the originals - after that, you can change individual cartridges.

not compatible with dx4400 or 4450
I bought a dx4450 from S.V.P (great bargain) in December along with these compatibles and my friend bought a dx4400 elsewhere at the same time and unfortunately these cartridges are totally rejected by both printers. I have to say my cx5400 loves the Jet compatibles so it is a shame. apparently you have to have 5th generation cartridges for the 4450 and 4400. It is a shame that printer manufacturers feel obligated to keep playing this silly monopolizing game ....if i want to use compatible ink i should be allowed to. The money i save means i could buy another printer if ever the print heads got blocked and still break even. Manufacturers should learn that if their own ink wasn't so expensive we would buy more of it and they wouldn't have to keep playing about with the chips.

Don't work in a DX4000
I bought a DX4000 at the end of May, and some of these inks. The printer refuses to recognise them - not just a warning, but an all out fail. They are just NOT compatible *SVP NOTE* Please contact sales@svp.co.uk for advice and support.
