These double layer discs have a purple/silver top surface with the familiar RiDisc branding at the top of the disc and a 4-lined area in the bottom right corner to display the disc contents.
In common with other double layer discs, these discs have a data capacity of 8.5GB which equates to 240 minutes of video in standard play mode meaning you can fit even more of your favourite memories and yet still be assured that they are secure and protected.
We always recommend that customers keep the firmware on their DVD writers up to date. This is especially true in the case of double layer media as most reported problems are due to out of date firmware. Click here for our guide to firmware upgrading.

RiDisc DVD +R DL a reliable CMC dye - as ever
Once again I trust these discs and once again they deliver.
I use them on my PC with a Philips DVD multiformat writer and not had 1 failure.
Also use them on my Panasonic DVD recorder (DMR-EZ25) and they have never failed me.
My only negative comment would be the pricing of these discs, last time I purchased them they were £10.20 , and in theory media prices should keep falling,so these are actually a bit over priced , supply & demand perhaps ?.
Anyway well done RiDisc , a winner again.

Hit and miss with different burners
My Sony hated these discs, didn't even start burning the data - It just spat them out saying the format isn't supported - but my Pioneer 112D can't get enough of them, I've not burnt a bad disc yet.
check the compatibility before you buy!!!

Well matched with Pioneer DVR-215 1.06
Bought 25 of these as a test and they run by default at 10x using Nero. No problems with the burn. Give 'em a go!

Steer well clear!!
I bought a 25 disc spindle with a new NEC 7170S, of the dozen or so discs I attempted to burn ALL were useless, not even the Lead-in would write!
The writer performs well (also bought from SVP) with CDR's & +/-DVDR and now also very impressed with the Verbatims bought to replace these useless RiDisc coasters - buy Verbatim.

Very Bad Disc's
I purchased a tub of these and have had nothing but trouble with them.
four disc's failed to burn and of the two that did i could not get them to verify and they were unplayable.
i tried three different burners all with the latest firmware but still no luck.
i will not be buying this brand again.

Xbox 360s don't seem to like CMC MAG D04 dye
Bought a pack of these to back up my last few 360 games. The first pack I had worked excellently (apart from a few bad burns) using the CMC MAG D01 dye. However, the pack I received seems to be using the CMC MAG D04 dye, which results in Unplayable Disc errors on the Xbox, or the disc not being recognised at all. I'm giving the discs a high rating as they're still good for data and video use, just not for 360 backups.

Not to bad at all!!
Bought these as my usual media from SVP was/is sold out, so took the chance to buy these.
Im very very happy to report that for 360 burning they work a treat on a Pioneer DVR 111 (FW-1.29)
Its always good to have a backup option with media, so yes buy em - they work a treat!!
Very impressed!
