These RiDisc double-layer DVD+R feature a silver inkjet printable top surface instead of the more common white printable alternative. An interesting variation for those who like to buy regular white-printable discs and can give an almost holographic effect.
In common with other double layer discs, these discs have a data capacity of 8.5GB which equates to 240 minutes of video in standard play mode.
We always recommend that customers keep the firmware on their DVD writers up to date. This is especially true in the case of double layer media as a large number reported problems we receive are due to out of date firmware. Click here for our guide to firmware upgrading.

Guess I'm just lucky!
I've bought and burned over 100 of these bad boys, and have not had a single problem with even 1. I use them exclusively for 360 backup's and they all work, each and everytime loaded into the machine. I use an NEC 4571 and an Optiarc 5170 burner with whatever firmware they shipped with out of the box, and burn with clone CD at 2.4x speed. Sure they'll burn faster, but what's the rush? Just cause a car can do 140 mph. doesn't mean you have to drive it that fast everywhere you go does it? I need to order more of these, but sadly they are not in stock at the moment, but when they do come into stock, I think I will be buying the box of 300, that's how much I like and trust these. For all thge people bashing this product...I might suggest that you look closer to home for the problem....

Cheap and nasty
If you want these for the new style 360 games, look somewhere else cos these are rubbish. out of 25 barely got half to work. The problem is the outer edges of the disc, CD Clone and IMG-Burn just throw up errors before burning. As they say, "stick what you know" ie Verbs

Average Discs
Used for xbox 360 backups, the results have been hit and miss, some burns are decent and some are unreadable, in this price range the Ritek D01 discs are a better choice.

D/L Disaster?
Got these today[usually use Verbatims] but saw great reviews on these for 360 backups.
My first image write using Clone-cd[as always for 360 ] resulted in the program not finalising the dvd,and locking up the system, needing a reboot to recover dvd from drive!!!
Have just retried another dvd in a different writer, firmware up to date, and it wouldnt write to after the lead-in burn!!
I have recovered this and have re-tried it in my initial drive, this seems successful, need to try the dvd to see if loads or not, though.
Not confident thus far
Will review with findings later

Fantastic Disc at a great price
Think I was one of the first to buy these discs and at the time they were unreviewed so it was a bit of a leap of faith, but so glad I made the choice.
These were purchased as 360 back ups using Nero 7.8 and a Pioneer 110.EVERY single disc a success and no coasters.Fantastic silver finish and when printed on to,they give an almost holographic finish.Only slight complaint is the 42mm of unprintable middle, but for quality these are unbeatable.
These are now my D/L disc of choice so well done again Steve and the guys.

Writes up to 8x with my drive!
First time using these particular Double layer discs.I was surprised to find that they're identified as writing at 4x,6x or 8x with Cd speed 4.7.5.0.Sure enough the burn at at 8x was excellent using a Liteon Shw-160p6s. I'm wondering if the stated (pessimistic)speed might be wrong.
