Ritek G05 Full-Face Printable A-Grade 8x DVD-R (Pack of 50)
This disc is sure to be popular for a number of reasons: 1) It uses the Ritek G05 dye which is still popular with many customers. 2) The 'Full-Face' printable surface on this disc allows you to print right up to the centre hole of the disc using an inkjet disc printer (such as the Epson R265 or R300).

Absolute Trash
Been using other G05 discs for many a year but they were out of stock so gave these a whirl.Out of 200 have at least 70 coasters...

Cannot fault them
Brought a pack plus pack 50 Ritex Ice White ( Non Printable ) and cannot fault either.
Only bought them because the prodiscs are currently out of stock and SVP don't know when they are getting in more, i needed some disc's so 50 of these and 50 ice white and with both being spot-on i can swap and change between the both.
If you want a printable surface then these babies are for you, non pritable but white surface the choose the Ritex Ice White which are slightly cheaper.
Oh using an LG-GSA-4163B ripper, have done copying, ripping, data, audio, making a DVD-r and had no coasters.

I used to use nothing but theese discs then in 2006 i had to throw 100 away just tried them again in liteon and pioneer drives ten coasters out of 50 the undersides on those that do burn are all streaked & blotchy never again will i use theese discs

Can't fault them so far
Over 1000 produced during 2006 using a Pioneer burner.
Only 1 dud disc & no compatibility problems at all reported.

Ritek G05 Full-Face Printable A Grade (8x) DVD-R
I used to find these excellent - Couldn't ask for a better disc but lately it's been a different story for me. Have purchased over 500 in total but the last 200 have not worked no where near as good as the rest. I know it's still the same dye but 4 out of 10 fail now. I have switched to another brand....Sorry guys!

never short of a coaster
These used to good but recently have went downhill, I've had to throw away a full 50 spindle due to bad dye, stick with the RiDisc Extreme, if you can get them in stock.

good discs usually
The retail version of this disc is great, i used to get them from another company, but they stopped selling them, they seem to have replaced them with traxdata, very similar packaging. So i moved onto these discs, for ages now i have been using these and have been reasonable impressed. However the last 100 i had, , half of the spindle was flawed, you could see under the light where the dye wasnt evenly spread. Consequently i ended up with 4 or 5 coasters, even though it tells me i can burn at 12x, and there sold as 8x i discovered i could use them at 4x. They used to be a decent disc. I agree with the other guy re spindle packinging too. The does on teh odd occasion seem to movement and damage between some of the discs. As time is money i woudl like a disc i can take out of the box and put it into the machine without having to check teh surface before i do so, This product no longer seems to fit the bill for me. A-Grade by definition means its not good enough to sell as perfect , perhaps the A Grade has been allowed to slip to sell more flaws as A grade, who knows. The 50 spindle i had last time certainly weren't A Grade in my eyes.

good disc, shame about the branding
Overall an unbeatable disc for the money used with Pioneer 110's or 111's great quality time again. But why do they have to print dvd-r 4.7 8x in the center of the printing face, on a full face printable ? Its small & not to much of a problem if your printing dark backgrounds, but on white or light backgrounds it stands right out & looks terrible. Product No.3344 is better, for printing.

Very poor
After realy good results with the G04 discs I tried Ritek G05 and found them great for the initial burn, 100% success not a single coaster, and scanned well for quality afterwards. After a year almost all of the 100 G05s I have are unreadable.
Do not use these if you want them readable any length of time later or for important data, use Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim instead. I would use them for short term storage only.
It's a shame that these are so bad after the great results with their 4x discs. I will never use Ritek again nor would I recommend them to anyone.
