Update to my recent SVP help.....
With regards to my recent order of these 'EVIL' dvd cases and SVP asking me to contact them....
They offered me a refund of my postage, well thats very nice but i am stuck with 200 very substandard dvd cases.
If you know there is a problem atleast have the decency of atleast exchanging them or even better removing them from your site, as with reviews like this
NO ONE WILL TOUCH THEM
Still 1/10 as i cant put 'ZERO'

Have to agree with Tony from Taunton.
Don't normaly do reviews, but must say I would not order these again even if they were free. I realise they are dirt cheap, but they are not fit for purpose. The batch of 1000 I just received were mostly ripped and the clear slip cover was so thin it was like cling film, looks like a factory problem as other cases in other boxes gradually get thicker. They are all melted at the edges and stink of old plastic bag type smell. Also opening them just once results in the spine craking in two. Putting the lot in the bin.

Datawrite horrible, smelly recycled cases
I have to say these cases are probably the worse dvd cases in the world.
They stink of recycled plastic and are VERY flimsy.
I have to agree with the last review with regards to "the actual hinges (the folding bit) on the cases look as though they will soon begin to split as they already appear weak".....
THEY WILL BREAK!!!!!
I am never ordering cases from here again.
I can get better quality cases from Poundland.
Also i am very angry with regards to the shipping options i was given - ALL ONE OF THEM - £4.99 (1-4 days) delivery.
Where did all the other delivery options go to???
*** SVP Note ***
Please contact sales@svp.co.uk and we will look to refund or replace these cases under our 30 day no quibble guarantee. We have suspended next day delivery for a short time due to the volume of orders. We will be offering this service again very soon.

Cheap but very poor quality
I bought quite a few of these cases a couple of years ago and as SVP stated, the quality was excellent. With those supplies running low I had no hesitation in ordering some more but what I have received are nowhere near as good as the previous ones.
I still have a few of the old cases so can easily compare them.
The new cases are soft and flexible, meaning they twist when trying to open and close them. The closing mechanism is very weak and they easily come open. The finish is poor with scruffy bits of plastice/rough edges. The button you press to remove the DVD has 'push' written on it, or at least I think it does. It is so poorly stamped you can't actually read it, it looks as though the button has melted. The actual hinges (the folding bit) on the cases look as though they will soon begin to split as they already appear weak. Finally, the plastic covering to hold the sleeve is so thin it has a wavy/creased appearance.
The quality is probably of no concern to somebody selling 'dodgy' DVD's. But for anybody wanting them for any professional/business use, stick well clear. I wouldn't even use these for my own holiday DVD's.
This drop in quality is becoming a worrying concern with SVP. This is not the first repeat order I have made where the quality of the item has dropped considerably.
Note to SVP, please be honest with us if you change supplier or the quality of the item goes down. There is no way you should be describing these as similar to ones used for DVD's in shops. They are only similar in that they are a case to hold a DVD which is like saying my 'Cog Au Van' is similar to Raymond Blanc's. I couldn't imagine Disney or Sony using a case of this poor quality.
PS. I'm a useless cook
