Excellent for labelling both data and music CD's. Each pen offers a quick and effective way to write on data storage surfaces.
Each pen gives permanent lettering and has a soft round tip so as not to damage the data storage layer. It also uses odourless, solvent free pigment ink, which is quick drying.

Verbatim Multimedia Marker Pens
Awful product. Pretty much as below, and how I wish I'd listened. The nib thickens after 1 or 2 uses, and just looks like a thick board marker.

very poor
I basicly agree whit all the negative reviews. these pens make my dvds look like they where written by a 4 year old, but they are great for making a zero look like a dot, and a 8 like 2 dots. There are mush mush better pens on the market, and they are easily found in book stores.

Inferior to the Verbatim high standard
I bought these beleiving that being Verbatim they would naturally be superior quality....
WRONG.
I honestly almost do not know where to begin with listing my disappointments in these pens.
But here's a few points that potential buyers must be aware of;
1. The nibs are poor, they soften after a few uses & make it impossible to write neatly on any media. 'Fine' writing becomes 'fat' writing & looks messy. I'm not pressing too hard either when I write.
2. The green & red pens suffer from either not enough ink or the quality of the ink is so poor that writing with these colours looks washed out & scruffy. These both ran out of ink within 2 days of LIGHT use.
3. As "Richard Flack from Chelmsford" has mentioned above, the tips unscrew from the body of the pen & its easy to accidently loosen these & have your pen dry out - just as my black pen did.
All in all, not great value for money, out of the 4 pens in the pack I'm left with one that still works (the blue one).
Which, after less than a weeks use, does'nt say too much about the qualty of these pens.
This is'nt SVP's fault - blame Verbatim for putting their name on third party franchise items made too cheaply & therefore tainting the good name that Verbatim have created in the blank media world.
I know they are only £1.49 - but thats only due to SVP - I have seen these retail in the high street for £6.99!
I'd be double sick if I'd paid that much for them!!
In summary : AVOID

Highly Disappointed
You usually associate Verbatim with immensely high quality, and in this case they appear to fall short.
When I initially got these pens, I thought they were fantastic. A very fine point allows for easy and clear writing into any CD or DVD, and the ink is very strong allowing you to view what you've just written very easily. Normally the marker pens I've used in the past have ink that looks very weak, almost watered down. Not the case here at all.
The problem with these pens lies with the actual caps on the end. Having used one of them, I put the lid on and placed it on top of my desk. The next day I picked up the pen and tried to write using it... only to find that the end had completely dried up!
You have to use a pretty hefty amount of force to ensure that the lid is on firmly. It sounds really simple; and you're probably asking yourself "How can you not put the lid on properly? Only an idiot would mess that up!". Usually you'd expect to be able to just press the lid on, and away you go. Not so at all. With these pens you have to REALLY push, because a "normal" amount of pressure does leave a gap - enough for the pen to dry up completely.
As if this wasn't enough, the nib of the pens have a screw-tip next to the lid. It is VERY easy to put the lid on these pens firmly, and in the process accidentally unscrew the tip slightly - also causing these pens to dry up!
I'd expected a lot more from Verbatim, especially with something as simple as some marker pens. Clearly they need to rework the design.
