These Zero Defex double-layer discs feature an extremely fast 8x write speed meaning that you can write 8.5GB in less than 16 minutes.
8.5GB of data equates to 240 minutes of video in standard play mode meaning you can fit even more of your favourite memories and yet still be assured that they are secure and protected.
The inkjet printable surface of these discs enables you to add your own designs with affordable machines such as the Epson R220 and R265 inkjet printers. The full-face printable surface allows you to print right up to the centre hub of the disc, producing extremely professional results.
ADVDInfo: RICOHJPND01 Packaging: Zero Defex branded spindle tubs of 25 discs.
We always recommend that customers keep the firmware on their DVD writers up to date. This is especially true in the case of double layer media as a large number reported problems we receive are due to out of date firmware. Click here for our guide to firmware upgrading.
Please Note: Some writers don't fully support burning to this media at 8x. Pioneer writers have a known speed issue.

No good on Pioneer DVR 111L
Oh well thought I would try a pack as they were so cheap but really not worth the effort trying. Every disk burnt fails at 50%, wont burn second layer.
All I can say is pleased these didnt cost more than the fiver or so. SVP really should not sell these disks.
Oh well better look for some different disks to order and try.
I will give these disks a 2 out of 10 just because they are so cheap and hey they must work on a drive somewhere.

absolute rubbish
absolute rubbish, tested on pioneer 212; 115 and 215 all running the latest firmware (nov 08)
all failed writing the second later with internal target failure, also only 2.4x rather than 8x on the pioneer drives

Make some good coasters
Thought I would give these a try at the cheap price.
Not worth a penny of it.
10 attepts at burning so far, all failed at.
Pioneer 112d Stock, then latest firmware - 0/6 (all at arounf the layer change)
Benq DW1650 BCIC firmware - 0/1 (Didn't even finish lead in)
Optiarc AD-5540A Stock then Liggy/Dee latest 0/3 (no set pattern of failure, just random places)
The rest are going in the bin :/

work well with nec 7179s and nero
brought 4 tubs of these because the ones i usualy have were out of stock (Aone Full-Face Printable 8x Double Layer)
they use the same dye and i had a coster with the first one. so i changed my burning software and have burned 50 without a coster.
so i went back to image burn and had another coster,so will stick to nero for these.

The worst discs I have used
I have never had a problem with discs until I tried these, the price was good but the discs had dye runs, problems burning even at 2.4x and about half of the batch had a haze on the disc. I use the latest pioneer writers with the most up to date firmware.
Svp was as usual, brilliant replacing the discs quickly and with out hassle.

Have burnt about 15 so far and all have been perfect! At this price I cannot fault them.

lots of coasters
I haven't had much trouble with any of the cheaper double layer dvds, but these are very poor...About 30% failed to burn properly.
